Pangea est un bateau de la marque « Catana », avec une haute performance. Le modèle 411 a été conçu par Christophe Barreau, connu pour ses designs tel que le catamaran « Outremer 45 » et « TS 42 ». Le bateau se compose de: Une coque tribord entièrement dédiée à votre propre usage; avec une grande cabine, une pointe spacieuse avec une douche séparée, une pièce à vivre, de nombreux placards, une grande penderie. Une deuxième coque avec une cabine pour invité, pointe séparée avec douche, de nombreux placards, des tiroirs pour les provisions, atelier avec un groupe électrogène « Northern Lights », machine à laver.
Pangea est entièrement équipée pour la navigation, d’un treuil central, d’un poste de pilotage et d’un système de mise en ris qui est facile à utiliser sans avoir à quitter le cockpit. Celui-ci est équipé de deux pilotes automatiques, ce qui rend le voyage plus sûre si vous naviguez en équipage réduit. Elle est également équipée d'un compresseur de plongée et de cinq réservoirs de plongée.
Pangea n’a jamais été mise en location et a été bien entretenue par ses 3 propriétaires. Elle a fait plusieurs traversées. Notre bateau ainsi que les équipements ont bien été entretenu et amélioré de manière continue et minutieuse. Par exemple, en 2016, elle a entrepris un traitement anti-osmose complet (décapage complet, rinçage, séchage pendant 3 mois et re-stratification). Factures à l’appui.
Après avoir navigué pendant 2 ans, nous sommes maintenant prêts à rentrer à la maison, car nous avons d’autres projets de vie.
Nous aimerions vendre notre bateau pour la fin d’année 2019. Sinon nous pourrions également envisager de poursuivre encore quelques mois en fonction des propositions faites des acheteurs. Le bateau peut rester en Polynésie française jusqu'en mai 2022 sous le régime de yacht en transit.

Catana 411 owners version, never chartered and set up for bluewater cruising
Pangea is a Catana, a popular performance cruising catamaran. The 411 model is architected by Christophe Barreau who is known for designs such as Outremer 45 and TS 42. Catana constructed her without compromises in either material or craftmanship. She is an owner’s version where the starboard hull is entirely dedicated to your own use with a large cabin, a spacious head with a separate shower, numerous cupboards and extensive hanging space. The second hull offers one guest cabin, separate head with shower, numerous cupboards, ventilated deep drawers for provisions and a designated workshop that also contains a Northern Lights genset and a washing machine. Pangea is fully equipped for bluewater cruising and set-up for shorthanded sailing since she’s upgraded with the central cockpit winch and a reefing system that is easy to use without the need of leaving the shelter of the cockpit. She is equipped with two autopilots, which makes passage making more safe if sailing shorthanded. She is also equipped with a dive compressor and five dive tanks.
Pangea has never been charted, she has been well maintained by her 3 owners, she has done several ocean crossings and therefore the boat and the equipment have been continuously and carefully maintained and upgraded. For example she undertook an extensive anti osmosis treatment (complete stripping, rinsing, drying for 3 months and restratification) in 2016. All important maintenance can be supported with bills.
After cruising as liveaboards for 2 years we now have our minds set on getting back home since other things in life is calling. We are glancing at getting back home in a somewhat near future, we could consider handing over the ownership in the end of this year, but we could also consider continue for a few more months depending of the preferences of the buyer. The boat can stay in French Polynesia until May 2022 under the temporary boating importation regime.
